Ingredients:
For the dough:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup hot water
For the filling:
- 1 pound ground pork or chicken
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/4 cup chopped scallions
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
For serving:
- Alexandra's Pikliz Spicy Pepper Relish
- Steamed rice
Instructions:

Make the dough:
- In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt.
- Gradually add the hot water, stirring until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Make the filling:
- In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, cabbage, scallions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Assemble the dumplings:
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness.
- Cut the dough into circles using a 3-inch cookie cutter or a glass.
- Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle.
- Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges together to seal.

Cook the dumplings:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Gently place the dumplings in the boiling water, making sure they don't stick together.
- Cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the dumplings float to the surface.

- Serve the steamed dumplings with Alexandra's Pikliz Spicy Pepper Relish and steamed rice.
